SAS Education 17/18

The aim of our Society is to enhance students’ knowledge about the industry, work opportunities available, requirements and application process in different companies as well as the most important skills that employers are looking for. Also our talks will include ways for you to maximise your skills in order to increase your chances for your dream career.

Our speakers this year will include students with relevant work experience, lecturers and professionals from different companies and institutions. By attending the events you can get in touch with people who have an in-depth exposure in the actuarial industry and ask them any questions you have. You can sign up for the different talks and events below and you can always get in touch with me for any further questions.

SR214

This is an opportunity for all AMS/Maths students to form study groups and have the opportunity to interact with each other in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.

The space will be there for you to meet, work and discuss maths together, and also learn from other students. Its up to you to decide how to use these sessions; e.g. for revision, solving tutorial exercises or just talking about maths with your friends.

A number of 3rd/4th year student peer mentors from AMS and Maths have kindly agreed to be available there every week, in order to give you help and advice in relation to their own knowledge, experience and learning.

Everyone is welcome!
